"Very Walkable," says walkscore.com

Walk Score, a service that scores neighborhoods for walkability, gives 128 Hunt Street a score of 88 and says we’re “Very Walkable.” To give you an idea of how walkable we are, the average score for Durham neighborhoods is just 44. Our score puts us in the top 1% of Durham neighborhoods!

How do we compare to other Triangle locations? The proposed location for Aydan Court condos, on Highway 54 in Chapel Hill, gets a 58. The neighborhood around West Condominiums in Raleigh earned an 82 score.

“Walk Score's mission is to promote walkable neighborhoods. Walkable neighborhoods are one of the simplest and best solutions for the environment, our health, and our economy. Walk Score was inspired by the work of the Sightline Institute.” -- walkscore.com

Join us this Friday!

Join your DurhamCoho buddies (and bring interested friends as well!) for our November First Friday gathering.  We'll be meeting at the West End Bar on Main Street, at 5:30 pm.  The music begins at 6:00 pm. It’s the Troika Music Festival in downtown Durham.  There will be 3 artists performing at West End. If you want to see other groups, check out the festival's website. You'll see that there's music all over town!  Everybody's welcome for another chance to get to know each other.

(Hint: We’ll be wearing our black Durham Central Park Cohousing Community T-shirts!)
