National Cohousing Conference comes to Durham

Hot on the heels of the announcement that one of DCPCC’s own, Alice Alexander, is now the Executive Director, Coho/US announced today that the 2015 National Cohousing Conference will be held in Durham. People currently living in cohousing and those interested in cohousing from across the country will be coming to Durham for the conference. Stay tuned for more news!

DCPCC member Alice Alexander is new Coho/US Executive Director

Today we are thrilled to announce that DCPCC member Alice Alexander is the new Executive Director of Coho/US, the Cohousing Association of the United States. Alice is a founding member of DCPCC and has been a Coho/US board member since last December.

Richard L. Kohlhass shared the news via a post on the cohousing-l mailing list. In his announcement, Kohlhass said:

Alice has a tremendous amount of experience working within, and managing non-profit organizations. In recent years Alice has held executive positions with the Carolina Farm Stewardship Association, Planned Parenthood Health Systems, and several others. She is a Certified Fundraising Executive registered with the Association of Fundraising Professionals and has completed nonprofit management certificate and graduate work at both Duke and George Mason Universities.

Alice is excited that she and her husband David will soon be moving into their new 4th floor condo at 130 Hunt Street.
